Start of my blog: Ice skating in Essen

This afternoon I went to Essen to visit a friend of mine.
Beside some coffees and a bit of shopping we checked out Europe’s largest open air city ice rink on the “Kennedyplatz” (don’t know if it’s really the largest one though it was not really huge, but they say so… – www.essen-on-ice.de). I have to admit that I have never done ice skating before and as expected were the results – I felt at least a dozen times and not only where I wanted to (quite painful… ;)) – maybe next time I should have no expectations… Nevertheless I was proud to get around the place somehow even though it wasn’t that elegantly than my friend did for whom it was the first time, too. At least all the laughing children there had some success moments – not all adults are better than they are ;-).

So if you have the chance, try to get there till 04 March to do some cool ice skating – it’s fun!
