thursday: international dinner (pics on the msn group WAW Spring 2003, also from other events – taken bei andré and chis), unfortunatelly i got much too less of all this good food – i have to admit that i haven’t cooked anything, but bought the beer with sandra
afterwards partying in organza to latin music till 3am (small club, but really good music and very nice people)
friday: arrival (departure at 6.00am), watched too many “friends” series in the coach (at least eight, more to come…), seeing the wawel royal castle and the royal cathedral (astonishing) – touching the bell and you could wish sth. – dragon tale – eating in a traditional local place (cool) – some of us out for a cosy place in the old town for chatting and drinking
saturday: Auschwitz I and II (Birkenau) (III is Monowitz, near IG Farben plant), but only Auschwitz I is in good shape – made only a few pictures in Auschwitz not to dishonor the place) – was moved by everything, but I had thought it would be more terrible (okay, the imaginations are already enough), nevertheless the dimensions are horrible – eating some of the pope’s cake in his birth place and having seen its house (unspectacular) – party at “klub pod Jaszczurami” in Cracaw’s old town till 3.30am :)
sunday: salt mines (suprised about the dimensions and the huge hall over 100 m under the ground, 3 km to walk, cool way up) – rain back in Cracow’s old town (“stare miasto”), but really pretty st. mary’s church with this incredible altar by Wit Stowsz – checking out the market hale’s shortly

having a slightly cold (more a sore throat) – library is closing too early (at 8pm ;)) – prepared the courses properly (never did this in gery)

movie “the pianist” – guilty feelings, hope, (piano) music as a link – awaiting for KZ Auschwitz, my first KZ
wed. – mexican food, r&b at underground
tue – course “european strategies and international business” (introduced with Ethiopian music – wired professor, but he knows what he wants), partied with three polish girls (dorotha, asia and magda) who cedrid, nick and me “met” at senca 2000 and then went to hybridi (1/2 h waiting in the cold before getting in)
mo. – visit of the russian market (wow – you have to see this – huge, on the eastern around a stadium (“never go there” is not the worst advice, specially by night), the rumors were right, only the pets have been missing – first courses (piotr ploszajski – my coming guru in organizational behaviour, better than Ringlstetter – suprise ;)), party @ underground (not a good day for this club, though it is free entrance)
sa – movie in kinotheka (“catch me if you can” – all movies are in English with undertitle) – feeling tired
sunday – tour through warsaw by bus, freezing, soup, cooking session in the evening (first time that i have prepared mushrooms (did it wrong) 3 kg chicken for four persons (kasia, zsuzsi, nick and me) then 8, including an egozentric journalist with one of his chicks)
