Just coming back from a press conference from “Razem w Europie” (Togehter in Europe), who want to support Poland’s referendum to join the EU on 7th and 8th June. Therefore lots of organisations with young people from all over the world, e.g. Les Jeunes EuropĂ©ens, doing some (street) actions in the whole country. Special focus will be on remote cities where still lots of efforts have to be done – so it is definetly not decided here yet. One great obstacle is also that at least 50% have to vote with YES to make the vote valid.
I was really happy to hear last night from a Lithuanian friend about the great result in Lithuania’s referendum, after it was nearly on a edge on Saturday, but at last nearly 90% said YES with 63% participated.
After the conference we had the chance to see the “Sejm” (the Parliament) that has 490 seats and is the second oldest in Europe, after the British one. At the moment it is there quite noisy, especially in debates about the referendum, as we were told.
