Returned yesterday from the weekendend-break to Cumbria – Lake District in North-West England. A really gorgeous spot in the world. Lots of lakes and a beautiful, untouched landscape. We stayed directly in a B&B hotel, as you can find them around every corner, in Windermere, which is near Lake Windermere – the biggest lake there with all manners of lake activities (sailing, boating, water-skiing…).
To get away from the busy Windermere we escaped to Grasmere in the north of Windermere, behind Ambleside and stayed for a while at the Lake Grasmere, where even swans can be spotted and where is nothing around you than sheep and nature.
