Catholic University Eichstätt-Ingolstadt
(Ingolstadt School of Management (WFI))
Founded in 1989, the Ingolstadt School of Management (Wirtschaftswissenschaftliche
Fakultät Ingolstadt - WFI) is the newest of the eight departments
of the Catholic University Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. As a private business
school with full state-recognization of its courses and degrees, yet without
raising tuition fees, it is leading its students of all denominations
to a Graduate Diploma in Business Management (Diplom-Kauffrau / Diplom-Kaufmann).
Currently, about 70 professors, lecturers and teaching assistants
of 20 chairs, teach the approximately 1,000 full-time students enrolled
at the WFI. The excellent student-faculty ratio of 11:1 - well above that
of other leading German business schools - ensures that all students receive
an education tailored to their individual needs and are taught in small
groups.
In spite of its short history, the WFI has already established
itself as one of the most prestigious business schools in Germany. For
years now, it has continuously been ranked among the top 10 most competitive
German business schools, e.g. by the Centrum für Hochschulentwicklung,
Stiftung Warentest and the Managermagazin, Wirtschaftswoche, Focus, Stern
and SPIEGEL business and weekly magazines.

Warsaw School of Economics (SGH)
The Warsaw School of Economics is, the leading economic
school in Poland and one of the largest economic university in Central
and Eastern Europe, member of CEMS and PIM network. The beginning of the
20th century founded school has at present, over a thousand graduates
that leave the school every year. They create and transform Poland's economic
reality in many sectors of the economy and determine the status of our
country.
In the academic year 2003/2004 over 16,000 students study
at SGH. This number includes 6,400 full-time students and 5,900 part-time
students. About 2,900 students participate in postgraduate courses and
1,200 students study for doctoral degree.
For exchange students such I was, the university offers
a wide programme of english courses in its CEMS program and most of the
professors have many foreign experiences as well. Besides, the buddy program
helps new students from abroad to integrate very easily. For sure, one
of the best universities in Central and Eastern Europe.

University of Bochum
It is a child of its age and the Ruhr region and its effect
radiates far beyond its locality. Since its founding in the early 1960s,
the Ruhr-Universität-Bochum (RUB) has grown quickly and has met all
the expectations put into it in an exemplary manner.
With excellence in research and teaching, the RUB has been primarily responsible
for changing the character of this once heavy industrial region. Have
a look and see for yourself!
At the RUB any academic career is possible. The RUB is also
a campus university. Everything is within a stone’s throw: from lecture
halls to the library; from the Caféteria to the Arts Centre. Today about
29,000 students are taught by over 380 professors at 20 faculties with
more than 70 basic degree programmes and 17 graduate degree programmes,
from Master’s degrees in “Humanitarian Assistance” to “Computational Engineering”.
Personally, I never really liked the RUB because it is a
mass university par excellence with a dull and sad atmosphere. Otherwise,
you also get the survival skills you probably need in real business life,
which made this experience worth it. However, you have to engage yourself
in the various student organizations as I did from my second semester
on in AIESEC to also learn the different perspectives of student life.
